The Field School training (Excavation, Field Planning and Section Drawing)
will take place for 4 five-day weeks. The breakfast (including the Weekends) is at 7.00 AM.
The work at the site begins at 8.00 AM and finishes at 1.30 PM. The lunch is at the monastery
at 2 o'clock.
The daily laboratory work (documentation of the artifacts discovered from the site)
will take place between 3.00 and 6.00 PM from Monday till Thursday for two weeks.
Every Friday in the afternoon will be given a lecture as a part of the filed school.
The field survey will be organized in the afternoons (3.00 PM - 6.00 PM) for two
weeks only for these students who would like to develop their skills in all areas of the
field archaeology.
The additional courses (Ceramic and Metal restoration, Drawing and Sketching)
will be organized in the afternoons for two weeks. The length of each course is 8 working days.
The participants who do not wish to take part of the survey or to take and additional
course will continue their work on the documentation of the materials found during the
excavations for all four weeks of their stay.
