In 2012 the participants in "Cambustica" field school will use a beutiful guest house in village Vodniantsi (15 km far from the archaeological site; 10 km from the municipality centre Dimovo and 20 km from town of Belogradchik). The house is situated in a splendid valley with an exciting view. Available to our students will be a swiming pool, sauna and restourant. Near the village are situated the most atractive places in the region: Belogradchik fortress, Magura cave, the biggest natural lake in the country. The nearest town Belogradcik offers all facilities you going to need: post offices, banks, many shops and bars.

Meals include early morning breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the restourant. The food will be traditional Bulgarian. Any special dietary needs will be taken into consideration, but you must let us know in advance.

Your clothes should be comfortable and practical, suitable for physical and sport activities. You have to be prepared for hot and sunny weather (over 35 C), although any exception with cold and rainy summer is also possible.

Personal Equipment
The project area can be hot and dry and full of plants that grab at skin and clothing. At other times, it can be windy and cold or stormy. Clothes and bedding suitable to a wide range of conditions are recommended.

Field School Tool Kit
The project will supply all basic equipment needs for the duration of your time on site. If you want to purchase your own digging 'kit' in advance you need to bring the following:
